Dr. Cheung is truly the best vet ever! Her entire team is compassionate, dedicated, and absolutely wonderful. I have six cats myself, but I first discovered City Animal Vet when I rescued a pregnant cat from my backyard. Despite their busy schedule, they managed to fit me in within an hour of calling. I named the cat Hope, and the care she received was beyond exceptional. From the moment we walked in, Dr. Cheung and her team treated Hope with so much love and gentleness — they made sure she was comfortable every step of the way. She was literally making biscuits the entire visit! Dr. Cheung performed a full exam and gave me the best guidance on how to care for her. Just days later, Hope gave birth to four healthy kittens — all of whom are now available for adoption at a local cat café. T

TLDR Pros: 1) Friendly, responsive, lots of availability 2) Possibly less expensive than other veterinarians 3) Great reviews for Dr. Cheung, although you might not see her (I did not) Cons: 1) BS additional fees that do not make sense and seem really overpriced 2) Poor attention to detail from technicians I went here once for a check up for my five year old dog and any necessary vaccines, and then came back for a vaccine booster. I chose city animal vet because I read great reviews about Dr. Cheung. Overall, the staff was responsive to phone calls, had appointment availability, and everyone was very nice. Dr. Cheung and her staff are compassionate, knowledgable, non-judgmental, and are genuinely invested in your pets wellbeing. I can’t say enough good things about City Animal Vet. Dr. Cheung is truly one of a kind—so kind, deeply knowledgeable, and incredibly detail-oriented. You can tell she really loves what she does, and loves animals. I have two senior Shetland Sheepdogs—Rocky and Rosko—who both need a lot of care at this stage of their lives. Rocky recently had a dental procedure and needed a few teeth removed. I was anxious about it, but Dr. Cheung walked me through everything, and her care was so thorough. Rocky healed up well. Rosko has arthritis, and we started acupuncture treatments with Dr. Cheung. The difference has been unbelievable.
