Customer Reviews
The folks that work with the dogs here really do love their jobs and even though I've seen some mixed reviews about the conditions of the place and attitude of staff members, we had a really good experience here. We came on Christmas Eve at 3pm, they were only open until 4pm, but we picked out a few dogs to meet. The staff was very gracious and brought them all to us, but we had to leave without a dog because they were closing. Also, the one I fell in love with hadn't been spayed yet, so she wouldn't have been able to come home with us anyways. Today we came back so that my daughter could meet this sweet girl and she fell in love, too. We were able to get the adoption paperwork filled out quickly and, pending her surgery, we'll be able to bring her home in a few days! I do think the fac
I can't say enough about the staff and facilities of Fort Worth Chuck Silcox Animal center!!! Jeremy, Sol and Michael made it the best experience! We came yesterday to a happy positive environment. Sol showed us the German shepherds for adoption. We were literally greeted so kindly at the door and then taken on your through all the dogs! BTW No fee!!! Fully vaccinated microchip and fixed for free! I felt like a VIP. And the dogs are treated like VIPs. Jeremy took over for Sol as we got to know Darla have hound half German Shepherd and Jack full blood German Shepherd. They were familiar with each animal and could tell us their personality and you could tell they generally love the animals and their job. They were so helpful and kind. We did not take one. I fell in love with Darla and my da
Katrina was wonderful and so very patient with me. She worked very hard to make sure we found the right match, and spent a lot of time helping us. Everyone was very kind and helpful, but Katrina went above and beyond. We are so pleased with our new baby Lacy!
Chelsea and the foster team have gone above and beyond in helping me navigate the foster process, which recently lead to finally adopting this special boy. They care so much for these dogs and they truly want the best for them. They do a great job even with the limited space and resources they have available. I am grateful I took a chance and fostered!
I love the work they do. I donate regularly on giving Tuesdays. It pains me when they have to euthanize animals, especially older dogs that have been dropped off or picked up off the street. The animals get great care, and their foster and outbound programs are super. The animals are neutered and up-to-date on their vaccinations. It's unfortunate that people only want to adopt puppies or kittens and smaller pets when there are so many great mature dogs wanting forever homes. Here's our foster baby, Dooley. He's available for adoption.
