Worst company ever. Do not go to the Grand Haven location. The "supervisor" is unprofessional and rude. They do NOTHING to correct their mistakes and don't even apologize. I was told my order had been delivered. After I had to drive to the store because they wouldn't help, they still didn't even apologize when they flat out said that they hadn't sent out any deliveries. Prior orders I have paid for large bags of food and they deliver small. I had to fight to get credited for their incompetence. They do nothing but lie and rip you off. Go to any other pet store in town. At least there you will be treated appropriately.

Apparently this location employs veterinarians as cashiers. I got quite a bit of unsolicited advice about my parents dog from the cashier today. Specifically, “that dog is overweight what are you going to do about it?” Not overly terribly but I question what was the purpose of this? We used to come here a lot to wash our dog and parents dogs. USED to. Build relationships….don’t be nasty just to be nasty.

This was my one of my favorite stores for my pets and I really enjoyed taking my dogs. However, last time I was in there was not a good experience. Kinsey was extremely rude. My dog had taken a treat off of the shelf and I promptly put it back. There was no damage to the treat. I grabbed several items for purchase. I gave my dogs a bath. Next, I headed to the counter to pay. Kinsey, not only over charged me for my items, but then told me she was charging me for an extra treat because she saw my dog take it off the shelf. I explained to her what happened and she still charged me for the extra treat. Her response was " Well, just in case, I saw him take it off the shelf" Yes, she did see him take it off the shelf. A good store but, customer service needs improvement. The cashier was hardly audible - nearly mumbling. I asked for an item I usually get a case of but, did not see it. I inquired and was told "oh, it probably is just not on the shelf". The employee should have volunteered to check back stock - evidently an overwhelming task.

I rescued a 7 week old puppy and had absolutely no idea what I was in for. I stopped at Chow Hound Pet Supplies on my way to get a load. Terrible with names, but I believe the young man said his name was Tim. He was extremely helpful in selecting a healthy diet, medicine, and training treats for my new travel buddy. Great selection and very knowledgeable. I greatly appreciate the experience and Jethro is happy, too.
