I was trying to resolve this issue without writing review, but after talking to the owner and seeing how they try to pass, blame onto customers, I think other bird owners should be aware of the store. I will not talk about the reptile section because I have not had a bad experience in that department. And have had good customer service After recently bringing my bird there for grooming, I believe they Can have a way better set up than what they provide us. First thing that was discouraging. is that they use the exact same towel on every single birds they did not change towels after the bird that went before us which I don’t know if that bird carries diseases or not also they did it at the front desk. I purchased a young ball python here in early August, and wanted to wait to write a review to see how he would adjust and if any undisclosed health problems arose. It's almost December now and I can confidently and happily say this is an amazing place to purchase a snake! This little one was (and still is) in great health, no mites no RI no scale damage or anything of concern. He has a great temperament, handles well, is very curious, and very sweet. He was being fed live fuzzies, but transitioned to frozen-thawed with absolutely no trouble. They allow you to handle their snakes with employee supervision so you can see who feels right for you, and I knew when I met this googly-eyed little noodle during my visit, he was the one for me. GREAT selection of snakes. These guys were awesome. Was visiting from indiana and they held the snake with a deposit. Shes a beautiful and rare snake for a decent price. Even gave a free hat AND shirt with purchase. Would definetely recommend this place if you want a cool snake from people that actually enjoy their job. Thanks guys! SUGAR loves her new home :)

I have had nothing but great experience there. I've been able to purchase everything needed for my 4 snakes as well as add a 5th snake when I purchased my newest boa addition. She's a roughly 6' healthy sweetheart that they took in for someone and I'm glad I get to give her a home. Thank you to everyone at Chicago Reptile House for all your help with the getting the right things and helping even load up the car. I will definitely continue using them for all my reptile needs.

Went here with my sister, who wanted a leopard gecko. We came here because we thought that everything we needed to know to get the little guy in a new home would be shared with us, but no. After picking out a gecko, we were told she only needed a 20 gallon tank. She said she wanted a 30 gallon tank minimum due to all her research, and all the employees (men) within earshot were scoffing and making rude comments. "You only need a 20 gallon tank." "Wow. That tiny gecko is getting the Taj Mahal of tanks!" Do any bit of research, and 40 gallons is highly recommended for adult geckos, and some rescuues won't even let you adopt unless you have a minimum 50 gallon tank! No to mention, if we want a bigger tank, what concern is it of yours?! We were told the gecko didn't need a heat lamp, just a h
