Customer Reviews
Dr. Rice is truly one of a kind. He is hands down the kindest vet I’ve ever met. I’m so grateful that he offers after-hours walk-in clinics for people who can’t always make it during the day — that alone shows how much he genuinely cares. From the moment we walked in, he was non-judgmental, compassionate, and incredibly patient. You can tell he truly loves animals and wants what’s best for them, not just to rush people through. On top of that, the prices are honestly the best around. You will not find this level of care and service at these prices anywhere else. It’s rare to find someone who provides both exceptional care and affordability, and I’m beyond thankful I found him. Highly, highly recommend Dr. Rice. 🐾💙
Dr Rice is hands down the best large & small animal in chautauqua county. He can easily perform procedures that most struggle to even attempt to perform. He recently helped me with my favorite farm cat Max. Dr Rice was the only local vet i’d trust with any surgeries on my bovines. His success rate is off the charts! Keep up the great work & thank you for all the years of helping me with my animals!
My 11 year old female dog Lily had developed a lump in her mammory area. Initially took her to Jamestown Veterinary and they quoted 4k to take care of her which is unaffordable and did nothing but poke the lump with a needle to see what would come out. About a week after that visit, the lump doubled in size and had a hole that festered. I got her in to see Dr. Rice and he gave her antibiotics, a steroid shot, and some anti-inflammatory medication. He was realistic and honest; the lump and hole were bad. Dr. Rice removed the lump 2 days ago and Lily is home and doing great. Dr. Rice called the day we took her home to see how she was doing. He has kept in contact through text message to see she is doing ok. The entire procedure including both visits totaled $800, very reasonable. This vet is
I had taken the day off work as my dog was ill, it turned out our regular vet couldn’t get her in, I called 13 vets in our area and nobody could see her. I made a post on FB and my sister and several friends recommended Dr.Rice who has a Saturday morning clinic from 10:00-12:00. Our experience was awesome, the staff was kind and caring, the Dr listened and took time w us and the cost was more than reasonable. My Chloe girl is feeling 100% better! Dr. Rice will be our veterinarian going forward! Great place!
I am a volunteer for Buffalo Pug and Small Breed Rescue. This was the first time I've had a foster dog that needed a dental AND spay at the same time, so the rescue suggested I come to Dr. Rice. It was an hour and a half drive from where I live, but absolutely worth it. Dr Rice kept my scared girl calm during sedation by having me hold and pet her in a dim room, suggested somewhere for me to go grab breakfast while I waited, and then Becky brought my pup out to me wrapped in a fluffy towel when it was time to begin my drive back home. All three members of the staff I interacted with were so kind. I'd gladly make the drive again and am so grateful for their partnership with our rescue.
