Charles County Animal Care Center (Formally Tri-County Animal Shelter)

Had to make the difficult decision to put my 13 year old dog down due to rapid health decline. The staff was extremely friendly and compassionate. They allowed me time and helped me with understanding the process. I never felt rushed and the staff was truly caring. Truly a blessing to have such a great staff during this difficult time. I deeply appreciate the team and the service provided.

I recently got a dog from here. She has had a hard first year of life. We believe her original owners abused her. Then left her at the shelter. Tri county rescued Millie from that situation. However she was adopted again we were told then not even a week late was brought back to tri county super sick. Instead of that family taking Millie to a vet she was brought back to a shelter which is really screwed up on the family's end. But tri county gave her the medical attention she needed yet again saving her life. Then she ended up with me, someone who needed an animal to put all my love in and Millie need the same in a person. I only have had her for almost a month and she sleeps with me every night, shadows me through out the day, and comforts me when I have had a hard day. This is my dog and

I adopted my baby girl from there she was clean no smells and very friendly and we love each other she’s very happy I’m glad I found her and was able to help save her also the staff was very friendly and helpful no pressure or rushing me with the paperwork they are patient

We saw a cat that we were interested in online and were able to meet him the next day. The lady on the phone was very helpful and answered all my questions. We were able to take him home the same day. Everyone was very kind and helpful and the whole process was quick. We definitely recommend and would like to thank them for our new family member!

Adopted a dog from this agency. The staff was very caring and made the process enjoyable. They were so happy to see our girl find her forever home.
