After seeing the posts on Facebook, I am not impressed with how unprofessional Change of Heart Pit Bull Rescue is acting. Why don't they go after the backyard breeders, instead of Vance County animal shelter. Instead of getting the facts, they repeat hearsay, call people names and being all around negative. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. My fur babies have all been rescues. My last 2 fur babies came from the Vance County animal shelter and I had such a positive experience working with them. They have a spay/neuter program in place. I would be leary of adopting any animals from Change of Heart Pit Bull Rescue, because, who knows, they may do the same thing to me that they are doing to Vance County.

Absolutely love this rescue. They do so much with community outreach and adoptions. After volunteering I was able to meet and spend time with most of the dogs.I would highly recommend this rescue 100%

I had a horrible experience with this “rescue”. After emailing, calling, and Facebook messaging multiple times, I finally heard back from someone. After begging multiple times to meet up with the dog I was interested in, on the day of the meeting that I finally convinced someone to grant me, I was emailed and told that the death of my former dog was my own fault and that I wasn’t a suitable dog owner. My previous dog died of kidney failure secondary to a foreign object removal surgery. The woman who emailed me didn’t even speak to my vet - she spoke to her office assistant. And also, if I could have given my sweet boy one of my kidneys, I would have. I was devastated and feeling crushed already and to receive that kind of email from someone who never even bothered to interview or meet me

This rescue does its best to help dogs, if they can’t take Dogs they help with all available networks and resources to help try to place dogs. Absolutely love what they do.
