Unfortunately today's visit left a sour taste in my mouth. I was in St Stephen for errands as I live 40 minutes out of town and on my way home, on a very busy road I found a dog. Cars are going extremely fast and swerving around it and the dog trying to not get hit. I pulled over, no cell service and the houses are few and far between. No one stops so I get the intact, female dog into my truck and start trying houses nearby. Meanwhile my own rescue is in the truck with me and getting a little snippy. After no luck I figured I would go into town to the local SPCA and see if they can help. I only knew where that was as I am a big advocate for shelters and being new to the area I like to be informed of them. These folks are awesome! They took care of our boy when he got lost and were so helpful and caring. We could never thank them enough. Please stop by and consider adopting one of their lost and needy souls. We have had rescue pets our whole lives. They are the most loyal and loving companions you could ever imagine.

Stopped in here as tourists. My wife works at a shelter elsewhere. We saw and. Played with cats, saw the few dogs. A friendly volunteer, Doris, led the way. Very friendly people, very kind.

Attentive and focused people with critters in mind. Very helpful and glad to have like-minded people to discuss futures for homeless animal's futures.
