Cathy's Critter Cuts

I took my Bichon mix pup for her first grooming here. I was extremely disappointed. They shaved her to the skin. I brush her everyday and she wasn't matted anywhere but her ears. I am not a groomer so I was willing to suck it up on that one but her nails were not trimmed nor were her ears cleaned out. I came home and clipped her nails and cut hair wads from both ears. I paid $65 for a 10 pound dogs full groom service. Never going back and will not recommend anyone use this business.

Unfortunately it was a bad experience for me and my dogs. When I dropped off, I reiterated that yes, some mats were present, and if they can’t work them out, they can cut through them and brush out, or, avoid them and I’ll handle, but under no circumstances are they to shave my dogs. I asked the staff member if she had ever groomed this breed and she said yes. So I felt relief in that because she would know they are scissor cut dogs with hair, not fur. I left them in their hands. 7 hours later, I got a call that they were able to “cut” one but the other has to be shaved. I said no, do not shave I’ll come pick them up. When I arrived they hadn’t “cut” my other dog, they had shaved him. It seems like they didn’t understand my instructions or just didn’t care. I won’t be returning.

We have two miniature schnauzers with two very different personalities. This place has captured them and cuts their hair to match. Very caring place!
