Cat Castle

Staff is so nice. All the cats/kitties are so adorable. I love the fact that I can take my daughter in there to spend time with the cats & not have to take them home with us. We don't have the space right now for pets so this is a great option to spend some time with them & spread some love.

I used to be a Vet Tech and have worked with SMAWL through that aspect, but I was so super impressed with their Cat Castle in Callaway. I would have never of guessed how nice the place is...in addition to Very clean, and all the cats are roaming free not caged. Which is a great environment to get to know the cats before adoption. Lost my 19 year old and went to the cat castle to meet a Siamese X they had. She wasn't the right fit, but I did come home with a spunky, very affectionate and adorable young calico. The adoption process was a breeze. When they are open; You can also drop in just to play or love on the kitties there too. Also love the impact SMAWL does in our community through dog and cat rescue, vaccine clinics, foster homes, and the Cat Castle. No cat can replace my girl I lost

A brilliantly run shelter. Staff are very friendly and informative about each cat they have available for adoption and the process for adopting them. You can spend as much time as you like finding the perfect fit for you and a cat. Once you decide on a cat, fill out the forms and when the checks have been completed, you can pay whatever the fee is with a card and your new fur baby will be heading home with you. We came away with Thor and couldn't be happier.

I volunteered here for a few months when I first moved to the area. It was a nice experience, learned a lot about the cat world in general. Then I ended up adopting an adult cat from here. I love her so much! I stopped volunteering after that since I started school back up again. A couple years later, I also adopted a kitten from SMAWL when they had their Saturday cat adoption events. Both experiences went well and I was given the right material and information to best care for my cats. I highly recommend adopting from them for those reasons and I love the fact that the cats roam free here with plenty of food, water, and toys! They do great work and I love it.

Adopted 2 beautiful kittens from Cat Castle. Stephanie made the process very easy and she walked me through the process of getting them spayed and up to date on vaccines so I will have happy and healthy kittens. They are absolutely amazing and I am lucky to add them to my fur family.
