I highly recommend Colter of Castle House Kennels. I had done a lot of research looking at trainers for my two Golden retrievers considering driving hours away and he ended up being less than 20 min away from me! Colter invited me out halfway through the training to show me the commands and we went through them again the day I picked them up. Night and day difference. My dogs are very obedient now and my wife is very happy. Happy wife, happy life right?!?! They even join me at the office a few days a week!

Without a doubt the best trainer in the southeast. I left my field bred golden with Colter for 5 months and was super impressed with the results I received. Her first duck season she did really good the first few times out and even better after she got some real world experience. This was my first time sending a dog to training and I was nervous about how the dog would do and if the trainer was actually taking good care of her. Colter does training session with the owner and the dog and from the very first training session I was more nervous about if my dog was going to even want to come home with me lol. You will not find a better trainer when it comes to knowledge, application, and care for your dog.

We have only had positive results in our discovery of Castle House Kennels! After meeting with Colter for the first time, we knew that we had been blessed ! We knew right away that we were at the right place! From our first meeting, then next to helping us pick the perfect puppy for us, (Ruby from 2023 litter) …through Ruby’s training and events.. to now, Colter has been, and continues to be consistently supportive in our raising Ruby ! We are grateful in knowing that Colter loves Ruby… and every other dog that we’ve ever seen him handle!! He truly has an amazing gift, and we are amazed by how much that he has managed to teach Ruby so far! He really does know what he’s doing, and he does with a loving humble heart, and always..… with a smile!🙂

We purchased a puppy from Colter at Castle House kennels! We drove 20 hours total to get our puppy, and we sure are glad we did! She comes from Castle House’s Zeus and we are extremely excited to see how great of a bird dog she becomes! The kennel and grounds were very well maintained and Colter was a breeze to work with! Our puppy is healthy and already so smart! We hope to stay in touch as we navigate training her since we are too far to send her back to Castle House for training! What a great experience and pup!

Excellent training experience for our two Labradors. Colter was great to work with. He kept us informed every step of the way and educated us about the entire process. He welcomed our visits and questions. He focused on learning the personality of each dog and adjusted accordingly to the individual needs. That’s impressive! He took such great care of our dogs while there.
