Cascade East Animal Clinic

I'm updating my last review as I feel my first visit must've caught them on a down day. They really took the time with my sick cat and told us about options and progression. Showed us how to give meds and took the time to give suggestions on how to make her comfortable. I'm grateful for this place and all of the staff who were really helpful and caring to us and our baby.

I had high hopes for my visit to this clinic with my 12 week old puppy. The receptionist was very kind and helpful both on the phone and in person. She also went out of her way to come over and interact with my pup while we waited for the vet asst. who was also friendly. I was less impressed with the cleanliness of the room that we were put in and the "bedside manner" of the vet. The first thing I noticed when I went to put my pup on the scale with the vet asst. was that it was not very clean. I sat down while waiting for the vet to enter the room, and observed that the entire floor was covered in various types of dog fur suggesting that the room had not been swept or cleaned in between patient visits before we were ushered in. Located on the main road in Cle Elum, Cascade is a small animal veterinary clinic with easy access, parking, and ramp entry into the building. Check-in is done outside at a small window to the receptionist. This prevents overcrowding in the small waiting room inside. Staff is superb! Friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful.

Went to help a friend put his sweet old kitty to sleep. With the virus protocol it was really hard to do because you can't actually be there in the end. The staff was very compassionate and considerate. Very professional given the circumstances.

I have been a client since 2001 and they have always been able to help me and accommodate my needs. Dr Hayden is by far the best vet for horses I could ever imagine. He has helped me step by step put horses down and go through the grieving process. Recently our dog was hit by a car and we had to go there they were very unwilling to help her and I felt like they just wanted to euthanize to make it easy for them. They didn’t help us find somewhere to take her since they were very unwilling instead we had to call over 12 different places just to find somewhere for her to go. We ended up having to go 2 hours away to pilchuck in order for her to get care. She had a leg amputated but other than that she is doing well. Very upset with how they handled the situation.
