Carson Animal Shelter

I am a volunteer foster mom, to help raise kitties until they become adaptable age. Sometimes come with their mommy. Staff in the office, sometime frustrate me but other medical staff, volunteer staff, animal handlers are really nice. Hope other people can help them being a volunteer.

Carson Animal Shelter is a truly amazing place. It was unbelievable to see so many people surrendering their dogs, each with a different story, it was just heartbreaking, I nearly broke out in tears. It was then that I realized what the staff members and volunteers go through every day. These heroes are on the front lines every day helping dogs get adopted. Housing them with dignity and car every day. The staff are all so kind and patient. There are amazing discounts available. I brought home our little Dusty and she’s adjusting to her new family just fine. Thank you Carson Animal Shelter you are doing a great service to our dogs and our community. GodBlessYou all.

Carson Animal Care Center is part of the County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care & Control (DACC), one of the largest progressive animal control agencies in the U.S. It covers an expansive region of 3.4K miles of cities, beaches, mountains, & deserts, providing 24/7 animal control & rescue services with a 24-hour communication center. My son & I were in the neighborhood for lunch over the weekend, & saw that Carson Animal Care Center was en route home so I wanted to stop by their cat

My landlords animal got loose and someone turned him in. She is diabled so as a thoughtful person I just wanted to help so I offered to go get the dog. I called first to explain the situation. The lady gave me such a hard time they couldn't give me the price over the phone she said. Long story short, I go up there. The staff are not very helpful, snotty and told me that I talked to the call center and they don't know what I need to get the dog. WHAT DO THEY GET PAID FOR IF THEY DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU? It took 4 hrs and a lot of phone calls and alot of crap. These people don't love the animals and want what's best. They just use them to funnel money. Shaking My Head.

These beautiful fur babies need a forever home, I wish I could save them all. The main ones that caught my attention were these two, Nala, female pitbull & Anakin, male Siberian husky.
