Caroline County Humane Society

I stopped in on Friday, January 2, 2026 to look at the available cats up for adoption and left with a loving little female Ginger Tabby named "Finley," now renamed "Pippi Longtail." The two ladies at the desk and the gentleman in their cat trailer (I'm terrible with names) were friendly, professional and helpful. They made the adoption process a breeze. Pippi Longtail now has her furever home, thanks to the winning staff at CCHS. They have so many cats there that need good homes. If you're looking for a furry family member, CCHS should be your first go-to. Highly recommend them.

We adopted a cat from CCHS and have also fostered twice so far and found them to be a very caring and helpful organization. They're not one of the bigger organizations so they really need donations, but they do a lot with the funds they get.

A large selection of kitties of all kinds. Warm and friendly staff. I had to visit several times before my kitty picked me and I adopted him, but they were so patient with me. All of my questions and concerns were addressed. The pet fee includes shots and neutering/spaying, plus some toys and treats! You have to fill out an application and be approved before you are allowed to handle the cats. It is well worth the wait. I hope that more people adopt from Caroline County Humane Society. They truly care about animals!

Thank goodness for the Caroline Humane society -- they have been helping with the stray cat issue in my area and we are extremely grateful for their assistance in managing a population of strays

This place is so wonderful! They have have found homes for kittens in wasn't able to keepa few years ago, as well as them getting me assistance in getting my 2 little mama's fixed so we didn't have more kittens and my 6 boys. Then when I went thru a bad situation, I was able to surrender my babies and they found them all homes in less than a month. I miss my babies like crazy but I'm so grateful they were able to find them happy furever homes! They are so helpful and God bless them for everything they do!
