Carl W Nelson Animal Shelter

I can’t say enough about my experience as a first time pet owner with this animal shelter! Both of the ladies working were so incredibly kind and personal. They accommodated what I was hoping for, and I left with two precious little fur babies! And I love that you’re also supporting a locally run shelter. I’ve had a really hard time with a few shelters and Carl W Nelson was a breath of fresh air. If you’re looking to adopt a new kitty, I seriously recommend it!

Nice people, clean. Very thankful for them. Ignore low score reviews. Many want the shelter to clean up their mess or deal with their irresponsible pet ownership. Nothing is free, shots/surgery cost money, pay your fairshare, & stop blaming others for your neg consequences. The staff do this work b/c they love animals. People complaining need to spay, neuter, & volunteer.

We went there and people were so friendly, nice, informative of animals there and suggested we use room to meet and greet dog. We did adopt him and he now is family

The Carl W Nelson animal shelter is the first place I recommend to anyone looking to adopt a cat or dog into their family. The two cats I adopted are truly amazing! The shelter provides a meet and greet room with treats and toys so you can socialize with your potential family members. I support this non-kill nonprofit shelter because of the workers and volunteers, that selflessly dedicate their time to finding their adorable cats and dogs a chance at loving homes.

It's such a beautiful animal shelter. Please come here and adopt. There are so many babies that need homes.
