CareVet at Shoal Creek

I researched online for the best vets in Lawrence County because my mom‘s beagle was very sick and so we noticed that this hospital is known for its quick help with emergency cases and sure enough- when my mom called and left a message the vet himself called her back and told her to bring our dog in first thing -And the staff was very friendly and the vet was very thorough. He sent us home with medicine for Buddy after doing a thorough exam. He started feeling better but then he was not well over the weekend so mom called and left a message and he called back again on the weekend in the evening and told us to come first thing in the morning/so he is true to what the reviews say. He’s very good with helping you in emergency situations so thank you thank you thank you to Shoal Creek animal H

I was nervous about taking my dog to a new vet - he’s not great with change and always had vet anxiety even with a vet he’d been seeing his whole life. The team that worked with him at Shoal Creek was top-notch and really helped put him at ease for his vaccinations and made a strong connection with him to hopefully make future appointments less stressful (while also providing some prescription assistance to deal with his anxiety). It’s a little out of the way, and there are definitely vets closer to home, but Shoal Creek has earned Marshall as a lifetime patient!

The staff is always very friendly and helpful, I have never been treated rude here and I have a wild lab puppy lol. They’re extremely helpful and called to check on my pup the day after his surgery. There was a small issue with being overcharged but the front desk called me the following business day and corrected the problem immediately. I really respect that because they could’ve just kept it as is and went about their day but they didn’t. They saw that I had been overcharged and called to apologize and reissued the money back on my card. I appreciate their honesty and integrity. We will definitely always use Shoal Creek for our pup’s needs ♥️♥️

So i was dog sitting my parents dogs, Annabelle, a dachshund mix, has a bit of napoleon complex, when the neighbors pit bulls snout made it through a hole in the fence, annabelle went to bark at well she got snipped. I freaked out! My dogs never had an encounter like that! From the very first call Jacob eased me down and was able.to fit me in. Katie the RVT made me and Annabelle at ease. As Dr Perkins kindly diagnosed the situation. The energy made me feel at ease. A huge thank you to Katie who felt like her warmth just made the situation feel less stressful. This was the best experience to a freak out I've had in a long time. Thank you to everyone.

I went in there with only the worst case scenario health concern on my mind and a not so large budget. The team was so compassionate to my concerns and understanding of my situation. My take away… one thing at a time. “Why are we here today?” Helped me forget about everything except the one thing that made me scared enough to come in. Focused on the one thing. Success, she’s feeling better! Thank you to the whole team. We will be seeing you again, looks like I finally found my local vet. 🙂
