I have held off on making this review for quite some time however it is necessary. Like other reviews, I agree they upsell a lot and you leave spending more than you were originally told. My main concern is the gross mistreatment one of my dog’s was subjected to. My GSD used to love going to the vet until his last visit. We got checked in like normal however they dragged him to the back behind closed doors leaving us completely separated. My GSD was crying and screaming for me, I looked through the window of the room I was in to see they had chained him to the side of a massive steel table while several vet techs swarmed him while attempting to shove a too-small muzzle on him. Very unprofessional front desk experience. I specifically booked an appointment to see a particular doctor and confirmed it in advance. I rearranged my work schedule, took time off, and drove 30 minutes one way, only to be told upon arrival that I would be seeing a different doctor. I had done my research and was not prepared or comfortable seeing someone new. This resulted in a complete waste of my time and effort. Sharing this so other pet owners double-check exactly which doctor they will be seeing to avoid a similar situation.

I am so grateful for this hospital. Veterinary medicine is complex, but the doctors here operate with such ethics and integrity. I’ve always received proper care and they have even squeezed me in for same-day emergency visits. It is a wonderful clinic with an amazing staff.

My fur baby needed dental cleaning and I called capital blvd animal hospital and since I moment I spoke to the receptionist they were very professional and friendly and answered my hundred questions. I felt welcomed from the minute I walked in the doorway for the appt and even after being a few minutes late they did not give me a hard time like other places. I was greeted with smiles and a good morning. They are currently running a special for dental $199. Dr. G was very kind and explained everything that had to get done and did not pressure me into overspending and told me what things had to be done that were necessary. I will definitely be coming back especially since my furbaby seemed very comfortable and was not as skittish as she was before when I first dropped her off.

If you need a good (especially in Raleigh) veterinarian and genuinely caring, experienced staff, look no further. Stellar team who are all very kind every single visit. This animal hospital is able to execute a very low stress and positive experience for myself and my pets, and all of it done efficiently at the same time!
