Customer Reviews
Our experience with Canine Protection International has been nothing short of exceptional. From the very first conversation to bringing Bear home, every step of the process was handled with professionalism, transparency, and genuine care. Bear has exceeded every expectation we had – he is incredibly well-trained, confident, and stable, yet also loving, social, and an absolute joy to live with. The level of support and training CPI provides is truly over the top. They didn’t just deliver a finished dog; they spent the time to train us as owners, answer every question, and make sure Bear integrated seamlessly into our home and lifestyle. Alex, the owner, has been a dream to work with – knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about doing things the right way and setting both the dog a
It was a pleasure working with Alex and CPI. Our new dog, Cash, is everything that Alex promised! Aside from being just a beautiful, healthy GSD, he is very well mannered and well trained. He was perfectly matched to our family. We have young grandchildren, and Cash is so gentle with them. I don’t worry for a moment that he would be aggressive or inappropriate with them. He fits into our household perfectly, yet I know without a doubt that he would protect us with his life if necessary.
I don’t usually write reviews, but Canine Protection International deserves one. As a husband and father, having a dog that’s both a trusted family companion and a capable protector gives me real peace of mind. From day one, Alex and Abby showed a level of professionalism and care that’s rare to find. They didn’t just hand us a trained dog — they made sure we understood how to work with him, build a bond, and handle real-world situations. You can tell their team truly loves what they do. Our dog is steady, obedient, and perfectly tuned to our family’s lifestyle. He’s great with the kids, relaxed around friends, and all business when he needs to be. That balance comes down to CPI’s quality of training and temperament selection. Their follow-up and annual tune-ups keep everything sharp, a
After a lot of hours of research and looking at options, I can’t say enough good things about Alex and Abby. I got my German Shepherd from them, and the entire experience has been incredible from start to finish. You can tell right away that they truly know what they’re doing, the level of obedience, confidence, and discipline in their dogs is next level. My dog came home extremely well-trained, calm around family, and alert when needed. It’s rare to find trainers who combine real-world protection work with such care and love for the dogs. Alex and Abby were super transparent, communicative, and genuinely passionate about matching me with the right dog. If you’re looking for a personal protection dog, I couldn’t recommend them more highly. They’ve earned every bit of this 5-star review.
I do not leave many online reviews, but wanted to take some time to share about my experience with CPI. Firstly, I am a returning customer. My wife and I purchased our first CPI dog, Ranger, in 2019. I conducted extensive research, and after speaking with a number of companies, clients from those companies, and conducting some follow-up, I felt that CPI provided the highest quality of dogs and training available. Additionally, they seemed to have a solid, longstanding reputation. Though the customer service at that time was somewhat underwhelming, we were not disappointed in our dog. Ranger was an exceptional dog with outstanding training. He turned on and showed aggression at the slightest command, and we always felt extremely confident in his protection capabilities.
