I can not say enough about Brian, Laura, Thomas and the rest of the staff here - Maverick , my border collie has a rough few months of life before my partner and I adopted him. He had some issues to say the least- they have worked diligently with Maverick and Mavericks entourage so to speak to not only build his confidence but to establish an overall better relationship with him where we understand each other through more careful observation of mavericks body language and so on. Mavericks engaged with other dogs more confidently now and looks he forward to go to the day training program and sleep overs to spend time with the pack and the wonderful staff. We are consistently learning more and more about Maverick and when we are in doubt or have questions- Brian, Laura, Thomas and the rest

Brian Manning and the team at Canine Behavioral are the best at what they do. Our Neapolitan Mastiff mix rescue was found on the streets of DC and was scared, barking at everything and so hard to walk on a leash. Another training option nearby was not at all helpful. After training with CBS, not just for her but more importantly for us, she is confident and well mannered and we could not be happier! She returns for boarding periodically and is always so happy to go - a relief for us! Brian and Laura are so helpful when questions arise and I cannot say enough about them!

The care and compassion we received from Brian and staff at Canine Behavioral Services was truly heartfelt. They want the best for both the dog and its owner. In October 2025 we decided that our 5 year old female Pitbull mix needed some “adjustments”. So we enrolled Blue in the 5 week level II behavioral training program. Upon rehoming her, we were anxious to see Blue and had high hopes she responded with positive results. Brian took the time teaching us the important role we play in our dog’s behavior. He gave us some valuable insight from his perspective as a trainer and a dog’s perspective! We enrolled our 4-month-old puppy Tony in the Canine Manners Program and had an incredibly seamless experience with Laura, Thomas, and Brian. We were understandably nervous about leaving such a young puppy for two weeks, but we’re so glad we did. From the very beginning, Laura and Brian were prompt and responsive to our emails. Laura even took the time to walk us through the program over the phone and patiently answer all of our questions before we committed. Once we signed up, we received clear, detailed instructions to help us prepare for drop-off. While Tony was away, we loved being able to follow his progress on their Facebook page. Two weeks later, Thomas personally dropped Tony off at our apartment and spent three hours “re-homing” him and training us to ensure a smooth transition.

CBS Inc was life changing for my dog Gus! From training services, to boarding, to grooming, they took the very best care of him. It is the only place I ever felt comfortable leaving Gus when I had to travel. Brian, Laura and the entire team there are truly wonderful, patient and kind. They have a true love of dogs, especially those that need a little extra care or attention. Gus suffered from some anxiety issues, and every time he was there he felt right at home, and given the patience he needed to feel comfortable and safe.
