Huge, separated outside areas for dogs to run with those of the same size and temperament. Professional, qualified staff who are very consistent across the board in how they train and interact with the dogs. Highly recommend the 10 lesson puppy training program, to give you and your pup a huge head start in molding behavior. We drop off our young, energetic, Berniedoodle at day camp to run and continue exposure to other dogs and people. We will use the overnight boarding in the future. Highly recommend this business.

Our 10-year-old beagle mix Lily had stayed at Camp Merricks many times over the years before we adopted her and she loves it there. We have known Denise and various members of her staff for nearly 15 years and they are wonderful. Denise is extremely knowledgeable about all things "dog" and has taught us many things as we've worked together to help homeless dogs. In many ways, she taught us how to train dogs at the SPCA too. Your dog is sure to LOVE CAMP MERRICKS because of all of the fun and closely monitored playtimes inside the big, fenced yards. I have only praise and deep appreciation for the service and facilities provided by Camp Merricks' owner & trainer Denise and the camp's crew. I hardly recognized JoJo, my four and a half year old Schnauzer Mix when I went to pick him up after his five days of overnight boarding and training at Camp Merrick. Where-as JoJo was a genuinely good natured and tempered dog who loves tots to senior citizens, he was a force to be reckoned with when a vet wanted give him a thorough exam or administer a shot, or a groomer tried to groom him. Then, JoJo's scruffy looks, and sometimes attitude could be a shoe-in for "Tramp", of "Lady & the Tramp". Camp Merricks is an absolute lifesaver! The team is so organized and helpful—everything always runs seamlessly. Our dog loves her visits and starts wagging like crazy as soon as we turn down the driveway. Denise and Earl are especially wonderful; they’ve helped us out in a pinch more than once. I honestly don’t know what we’d do without them. They take all the stress out of pet care, whether we’re traveling or just juggling life.

I had the honor and privilege to have a new fur friend in my life- Andy. Andy came to the camp with some behavior issues and after his intense training, he entered my home as a well trained, well behaved dog. Denise, Earl and the rest of the Camp Merrick team were very honest with all interactions, communications, and truly wanted Andy to be successful and find his "furr-ever home". Andy came with a very extensive and comprehensive portfolio to allow him to be successful and to create continued positive training. Andy is a joyful addition to my home and my neighbors are in "awe" of his excellent behavior.
