We left our two dogs, Chili (our black lab) and Beatriz (our terrier mix), at Camp Berner for a week while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience! The owner was incredibly responsible and clearly cares deeply about the dogs — we received regular photo updates, which was such a nice touch and helped us feel at ease while we were away. The space itself is fantastic — clean, spacious, and perfect for dogs to play and socialize safely. Both of our dogs had an amazing time playing with the other pups and came home happy and tired (the best sign!). It’s clear that Camp Berner is run with love and professionalism. Oso has stayed at Camp Berner twice - once for TEN days and I cannot recommend it enough. I would never board my dog, and she is normally watched by family and friends. When she is at Camp Berner, I know she is 100% safe, loved and surrounded by her furry friends. This is her and her boyfriend Bao, living their best lives. The human owners of Camp Berner are extremely kind to the animals, but also understanding and kind to other humans. The drive is worth it, Oso will be back again and again!

I normally have bad experiences with pet sitters in my home when I leave my pup. They either don't exercise him enough or are not home as much as they say they will be. This causes me so much more stress when I travel. I found Camp Berner through the rescue I adopted my Berner from. Since I was going to be gone for two weeks, I really wanted to make sure my pup was in good hands. I took my dog up for a meet and greet and it was clear that Dave knew all of my anxieties of leaving him. Even though it is an hour away from me, I decided this would be the best place for Henry. Dave gave me daily updates and photos and my dog fit in well with his pack. I never was worried about him which was a huge relief. Absolutely an amazing experience, for both owner and dog. Out Bernese, Cooper, was out living his best live at Camp Berner for almost 3 weeks. We were honestly concerned he wouldn’t want to come home haha. He was so well looked after and got to enjoy the mountain air, all the cuddles he demands and nice (short) walks, as he prefers 😅. We plan to bring him out at least once a year, just so he can have his own little mini vacation!

Our 5 year old Bernese stayed at Camp Berner for 10 days during the Christmas holidays. He had a great time, would go on walks every day and was allowed to enjoy the cool weather by hanging out outside. He also played with the other Berners and became close friends with some of them. The owner, Dave, sent us updates every day and made us feel like our dog was safe and well taken care of. Would recommend Camp Berner to anyone and we'll definitely take our dog there again next time we go out of town.
