This was my partner’s & I first time visiting this vet with our new golden retriever pup for his first parvo shots. They were kind enough to schedule us sooner since most vets in town are booked up until February! The wait was short and the staff were very friendly to us & our boy. The young girl in the blue scrubs with glasses (I didn’t get her name unfortunately) was our vet technician & she was beyond phenomenal with us and handling our pup. We initially made the decision to not neuter our pup but she made us aware of the possibilities of testicular cancer & we immediately changed our minds to go ahead to neuter when he’s ready. She was very kind & made our visit feel like a piece of cake. The doctor was amazing as well being super loving to our boy. We will definitely be bringing our g
I have two bully mix breeds and loved going to Calista. This most recent encounter was very inexcusable. My pet had been seen on Saturday, March 7th, to have his ears cleaned and to figure out an allergy med to give because of constant leakage in his eyes. My dog has been throwing up and salivating for about 15 hours after giving medication. First, I tried to call in to see if there was any way of getting my pet some attention, as I have no idea what is going on. I was told there was no availability and that it would have to be scheduled as an emergency visit, and I would receive a call back. I never received a call back. Upon arrival, the gentleman in the front was super helpful and explained the symptoms of my pet. Waited 2 hours in the lobby to be seen. As we got to the back, it seemed
I always had my pets - ferrets, cats, dogs, (in the course of 16 years) seen here but I feel like this place is declining. Last year I brought my dog in who wouldn't stop biting at her leg. Labs were done, then an ultrasound, couldn't figure out. Let's just wait and see. Nothing was resolved. This year my cat was vomiting and after running labs they just asked us to wait and see too. Now he's vomiting with blood and after an ultrasound I've been waiting for 3 days without a call. Staff sounded annoyed when I called on a Friday to see what the results were. Meanwhile my cat is starving slowly since he can't hold anything down. No sense of urgency whatsoever on their behalf! I'm conclusion, if they ask you to schedule an ultrasound perhaps consider a second opinion because either a) they
Was there for almost an hour and a half without being seen. The girls up front are not really very nice, one was very snotty with me and seemed like she could care less that I had to go because I have my own job that I am required to attend. I was more annoyed at the attitude from the front desk gal than the wait, however, I do have back problems and none of their seating is comfortable, so being there that long was just awful for that reason too. Now I’m out 2 hours of work, my dog wasn’t seen, I’m in a lot of pain, and I still have to take my dog somewhere else to be seen. I hope they don’t think that their time is more valuable than mine… or do they just over schedule appointments?? Whichever it is, time is money for everyone, so waiting for 1:15 minutes after your appointment was sche
Had a great experience with the care my dog Loki received recently. We were visiting from out of state and were able to get him seen same day to check out a little cut under his eye. The entire team was very professional and friendly. The treatment options were explained clearly. He's all better now 😁👍🏼 Thank you Calista familia 💙🙏🏽🐺
