Calico Creek Feed and Pet

hey so I messaged them on Facebook and no reply so now im here, in December (2025) I bought three rats from the MALE rat enclosure. welp, turns out they had a female in with them and I just so happened to get it. seems like a reoccurring issue here. Don’t recommend purchasing pets unless you want to end up with a misgendered pet. and the enclosure they were in wasn’t even good either.

Nice Place, friendly staff, I Go there to get my dog nails clipped and by flea and tick pill sometimes. Note* the people on the left side are awesome and they will trim your dog nails and sell flea & tick pills without dog papers unlike the people on right side. They have a lot of stuff there but wish they had a better selection of dog food and treats

Calico Creek is the place to come for all of your pet needs. From pet food, pet toys, carriers, kennels, cages, fences, enclosures and aquariums; this place has it all. Edited: I would like to rate a local business higher but…DO NOT get a pet from this place! We bought 2 rabbits here and neither one survived to two years old! They were house rabbits, very well cared for, and were taken to a veterinarian more times than any previous owned pet. It was our veterinarians option that the rabbits did not survive due to their breeding conditions! Lost a customer and would not recommend.

So, today was my second time going here for fish and it was not like this a couple months ago so I am not sure what’s going on but buyer beware. Took the 40 minute drive to look for fish hoping for a better place than petco or petsmart. Boy was I wrong. More than half of the tanks had dead fish in them, some dead for obviously quite a while. Many of the filters were barely putting out any air so grossly dirty were they. Add to that a bunch of the tanks had insanely bad breakouts of Black Beard Algae. I was pretty sad as they actually had Kuhli loaches which were the main thing I went in there looking for but I couldn’t chance spreading any of that to either of my tanks. Really disappointed that any animals could be “cared” for like this.

Extremely rude staff. Fish are extremely unkept and carry disease to the point they are visually dying infront of you. Unhelpful and extremely dirty place. Again, workers are extremely rude and unhelpful and mostly look at you with dead eyes and an open mouth.
