Customer Reviews
The staff is wonderful, they want to help every animal find a good home. We are blessed to have met Ace (formerly known as Wilson) and now have the greatest opportunity to provide a loving home and structure to this doggo. I hope you are not deterred by the negative reviews because quite frankly they make no sense. This place, the facility, and the people are great. Support if you can and definitely adopt if you can.
I’m not sure about the 1 star experiences but of course everyone is entitled to their opinions and views but as for me I have ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS had 100% good experiences with this shelter ❤️ I have adopted already 3 fur babies from here in separate occasions and some distance apart so I have seen older staff as well as some new ones over the years and they have all been AMAZING. I first adopted my kitty Athena and my daughter has her attached to her hip great bond. My fiancé adopted our boy Aries (formerly known as Cody) German Shepard mix and at first it was hard and we still have put bumps in the road but he is still learning everyday ❤️ Just Saturday 11/22/25 we adopted Rhea (formerly known as Sandy) and she is a firecracker but we wouldn’t have it any other way. My husband and I adopted a bonded pair of identical twins siblings Bengal kittens Rex and Ginger who are thriving well in their new home. The shelter was very clean and the staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions pertaining to the kittens I will definitely make sure to send friends and family to the Burlington County shelter if they are looking to adopt or Foster an animal. My mother and her friend recommended the shelter to us as they adopted their two cats Fred and flossy a few years ago from there. Pamela & Robet Howard
A highly dedicated group of employees & volunteers taking care of all the amazing un-homed animals for the county. If you cannot adopt, consider volunteering.
As a Christmas gift for my mother we wanted to adopt a cat. We checked this shelters website and they by chance and luck had an exact cat we were looking for. We were told it would be a 10 minute application process and we could pet the cat. The women at the desk were not as nice and said it would be a day or more for the application to go through. They were short staffed according to her. On a Saturday before Christmas you are short staffed? Along with the long wait time and the fact that my mother would have to be present to adopt for her approval of the animal was all a ridiculous waste of time. Needless to say we did not adopt the cat nor would I ever go through this shelter again. The cat was to be a gift a special gift for my mother but the shelter would not allow that. Absolutely ri
