Burbank Animal Shelter

Burbank Animal Shelter is genuinely the best. We adopted Lexi today and she has been nothing but a bundle of joy. Burbank Animal Shelter made the process so quick, smooth, and easy-going. We were in and out within 30 minutes with a brand new puppy. We filled out a form, they showed us to Lexi, and provided us a care package of treats, food (wet and dry), toys, treats AND a brand new leash, collar, and harness. Do not hesitate to go find your furry friend today. It was the highlight of our year. We can’t wait to provide such a fun and joyous life for Lexi.

Great place to adopt. They know their animals well. 9 months ago, we got our puppies at 5 months. He's a year old now, and he's so sweet

Our experience has been exceptional in working with Burbank animal shelter. We are currently fostering Leila. She is a sweet, affectionate, high energy dog that quickly learns and will relax by your side. She is already house broken, sits on command and loves to walk/play.

I had multiple negative experiences here. I babysat a little boy who loved animals And we would pop in from time to time, and the staff was always very aloof and borderline rude. The most disturbing incident though was when I found a little kitten outside of a 711 in Burbank and when I brought it to the shelter, they basically saw that I lived in Van Nuys and refused to believe that I had found the kitten in Burbank and then essentially threatened to kill the kitten. I found this highly disturbing and very rude to not believe a citizen trying to do right by a straight animal. This was back in 2018 so I hope their Customer Service has improved since then. I’m also pretty sure that this is a kill shelter by the way they behave so I don’t know if that is changed or not either.

We brought in our extra food and unopened cat items after our elderly baby passed away, and we got to see a puppy going to a new home very happy! Staff was patient and efficient.
