My Sophie is an 11 year old Newfoundland that I rescued when she was 8 years old. When she first made her way to Maine from Alabama the vet clinic I was going to for my Labrador couldn’t get me an appointment for 4 months! Sophie had been through some real trauma and I wasn’t going to wait 4 months to get her checked out or delay getting heartworm/flea/tick medicine prescriptions. Bucksport Vet was busy but they understood my situation and were super empathetic! Sophie got in w/i 2 weeks and now we wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. Sophie is a healthy senior and we go in for routine checkups every 6 months to keep her that way. It’s a great office - the doctors, the staff and the office cat. I highly recommend bringing your loved pets here.

Staff are all very nice and knowledgeable. Veterinarians have always been good. I have always taken my cats here. My oldest cat Sushi, right now is 16 and has had ups and downs and is still looking healthy and happy. Photo of Sushi and Gryphon.

We switched our dogs care to Bucksport Vet after having poor experience at another local vet. Since going to Bucksport vet we have felt our pets are being taken care of, our concerns are being listened to and ADDRESSED!!! The staff and doctor treat our animals with such care and work to reduce their anxiety during visits. The office is always clean and not overstimulating to our dogs which is so important for my anxious girl. We appreciate the care that’s put into the practice as a whole and recommend them over and over. Thank you

The vet took us in very quickly!! The staff was very friendly and wonderful with us and to my dogs!! They were def careing to my fur babies!! I absolutely love this vet and highly recommend this place, and the price was very reasonable. Actually, I expected to pay twice that much and was pleasantly surprised!! They even give you the medicine there. The building was very warm and welcoming!! There was even a range of dog food and dog toys!! This is def the vet I will continue to go with!! ❤️❤️🐶🐶

We have been longtime clients (6 dogs) and love the care we are afforded by the doctors and staff. Can’t say enough good things about the vet techs too!
