Buck Hollow Kennels

After driving over 6 hours multiple states away, I got a hasty abrupt phone call from the kennel, she sounded very annoyed, and told me I needed to come get my dog right away because she was getting out of the kennels. I remained calm and polite and moved as quick as I could to have my dog picked up but could not believe the way it was handled and how I was essentially scolded by the woman. My dog has been boarded before but we never had any issues like this. We ended up having to contact family last minute to pick up our pup and take her to a different kennel that was more secure and adequate and a better fit for the needs of our pup. Pretty negative experience.

I usually never leave reviews but our dog is big part of our family (as I'm sure yours is also) As soon as we picked our dog up, it was obvious he contracted kennel cough during his stay. I understand this can happen, but none of the staff had mentioned he was coughing and gagging. I realize they have alot of animals to take care of, I just wish they were more attentive and would have told us he was having symptoms. My dog had all of his shots up to date and had no issues when we dropped him off. Everything else seems satisfactory with this business.

First time my pup stayed here, she did great. I think the manager's name is Becky and she did a really good job making sure my girl was happy and ate her food. The second time my girl stayed here, Becky must have been out. I always put the dog food in individual bags for AM and PM feedings and always include enough for each day + one extra day. There was over half of the food left still when I picked my dog up. She gets very excited when she sees people and wants to rub on them and soak up the love and attention. My guess is the other worker bees came in, put the food in the bowl and left and my pup was too busy worrying about where they went to eat her food (she likes an audience while eating - weird I know). Our Puppy was happy and healthy when we picked her up. Prices are reasonable and Dogs have plenty of room to exercise or relax in the kennel.

They were really accommodating and understanding of my family. Even moving dogs around to accommodate the recent loss of our other pet. Very grateful.
