Brown County Humane Society

We went to BCHS 2 years ago to adopt a dog, and with our leasing company, it wasn’t the right time. We just came back in October and finally adopted our boy, Triton. Since foster to adopting him, the shelter has continued to provide support anytime we need it. Triton showed some issues after his dental surgery? They helped! Triton was showing some behaviors to a dog after never doing this before? They helped! Needed guidance on how to ensure he’s healthy and happy as a 9-year-old dog? They’re there to help! I truly can’t say anything bad about this organization and the team, they’ve helped us so much in only 2 months, and we are excited to support the shelter moving forward as we are able (with Triton so he can see his former staff and volunteers). Great people working there and take great care of the pets looking for homes. I checked out thier cats since I am debating a new cat after mine passed from old age a year ago. (I always adopt)

Nyx is a sweet girl she just not the right fit for us they so kind with taking her back. I hope she can find a home where she can run and feel safe!

I adopted Siri last week and couldn't be happier. BCHS has the nicest staff and were so informative about this beautiful cat! It's obvious the animals are well cared for. Thank you for a great adoption experience!

There's a lot of loving, compassionate, & caring individuals, that work, & volunteer here. They diligently work placing adoptive animal's to the best forever home! Great place to adopt your forever fur family member!
