Brookside Veterinary Hospital

Brookside Veterinary was very professional and thorough with my cats. The workers there were very kind and I really liked how they didn’t force once of my cats to get shots when he was being difficult from being poked with a needle. They prescribed Gabapentin and it’s been a lot of help with calming him down from vet visits and car rides. His neutering went very well and they will call you and ask for an update on the cat’s health the next day after surgery which I thought was very sweet. Would recommend highly :)

Brookside is amazing! They were able to fit Sunny into their schedule rather soon for her much needed dental exam. All other vets were booked out for months. She needed 5 teeth pulled ultimately to prevent further painful tooth abscesses. The vets, front desk and vet techs were all so friendly and nice. My dog gets so nervous at the vet she shakes like a leaf I always worry sick about her when she’s back there. I had a childhood cat die at the vet from a heart attack caused by sheer fear. But the Vet assured me she did great, that meant a lot to me. We appreciate them greatly!

My mother went here earlier today for a follow up appointment for our dog's eye. Over priced medicine and their employees are condescending. Their medicine doesn't work for our dog and they want more follow ups that are also over priced for medicine we feel won't work. And after the appointment the women that came to bring our dog back held him hostage until my mom gave her credit card and even made a comment saying it was a "hostage situation". Our usually happy dog that even was happy going to our old vet was shy and timid around this woman. He used to be happy going to the vet but he definitely doesn't like these people. For the area there are plenty of other close by vets to try. We are new to the area and decided to try this vet and went twice but we won't be going back.

This is a great vet for our litte Chi. They have been her veg since we came the Puget sound about four years ago. Our dog had to have surgery on her knee and they referred us to a wonderful surgeon in Tacoma who fixed her leg. She now walks much better! The staff is kind and friendly and the place is clean. Glad we found them.

I am not one to post negative reviews, but I feel in this case it is very necessary to do so. I've had two cats (one feral and one stray) come on to our property with the one cat bringing home baby kittens one day, both of them got TNR (trapped, neutered and returned) via Kitsap Humane Society. Then another, more recent cat arrives and she is very friendly and was spending a lot of time on our property so I needed to know if she was spayed and had a chip to show ownership. I suspected it was a female but I was not for certain. I stopped by Brookside and asked if they could scan her for a chip, and if they were also able to confirm whether she was spayed or not. The lady that came out said, yes, most definitely we can and performed the scan, it was negative, and we made an appointment to ha
