Brandywine Hundred Veterinary Hospital

I found these guys in a moment of crisis on my end. My 13 year old cat was acting off. So i first took him to Blue Pearl, (this isnt about blue pearl so i wont get into all that, in seeing i had to seek alternate help should say enough) they said he was having a fecal blockage, one that was not resolved when i picked him up over 24 hours after I had dropped him off. With no money, I had no choice but to take him back home, load him up with medication and hope for the best. The hoping didnt help. I contacted Brandywine Hundred offices. Trish, the one who answered my call, was not only very nice, she actual listened to my whole spiel over everything that happened. Myself and my shepherd Sam had a wonderful experience with Dr Paul. She gave a very thorough exam and answered any questions I had and put together a treatment plan for Sam going forward. Everyone was wonderful from the front desk staff member to the assisting technician. I immediately felt comfortable with everyone there and I am very grateful they were there on a Saturday when we needed them.

This may not be the best fit for those seeking a warm, compassionate veterinarian. We tried this vet once due to proximity, but the experience left us uneasy. The veterinarian was very cold in her manner and aggressively pushed to vaccinate our cat (he wasn’t due for another six weeks). She repeatedly emphasized that an expired vaccine could be reported and our cat would be taken from us, which felt alarmist and inappropriate given the circumstances. We ultimately chose to return to our regular vet, where we felt more comfortable and respected.

We have been coming for a couple years and have just met Dr. Paul for the first time; I am overly satisfied and impressed with Dr. Paul’s care, and the whole office is amazing with my little baby. We had a small issue to deal with, and Dr. Paul went above and beyond with care and knowledge. Thank you so much! We really have been a fan of your office! Even when I have to leave my dog for a long stay when I am out of town, I know she is in good hands. Thank you!

Very caring and made me feel at ease, so I could help my dog feel at ease. Grateful there are Saturday hours, which is great for 9-5'ers. Made sure I understood everything and answered all of my questions courteously and professionally. Glad to have them care for my pet.
