Bowie Animal Shelter

I know that Willie and all the volunteers there take extremely good care of the pups! The reason I'm posting this at all is because I would like to find out what it would take to be a foster dog parent. I have one 2-year-old doxy and one very old cat, I love animals more than I do people! If it would be at all possible to foster a small dog please PM me! I would be so blessed to be able to give a pet nobody else wants loving and getting them ready for a forever home! You know it takes a village, LOL! But it's something I would like to do! A little dog that gets along with other dogs, and gets along with cats. I would be willing to housebreak it, get it pad trained, and ready to go to a forever home! Great place to look for a future pet, Joellen is such a beautiful soul and really made this a great experience, having volunteers that go above and beyond are absolute blessings to these fur babies ♥︎ we are blessed to have this shelter in our town!

If you live outside of town limits, they won't do anything about dumped animals. Guy on the phone was rude and completely unhelpful. Basically told me that it wasn't his problem that someone dumped a puppy in the middle of the road. But somehow it's our responsibility to take care of the dumped animal we just didn't want to be killed.
