I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Cleveland and the entire team at BluePearl Animal Hospital. I was so nervous going into this surgery. I know it’s “just” a knee surgery, but my Labrador is my baby — he goes to work with me, never leaves my side, and is truly part of my family. Handing him over was incredibly emotional. I had spoken to several other dog owners who had recently gone through the same procedure, and they were all shocked at how thorough, attentive, and next-level the care at BluePearl was compared to their experiences elsewhere. What meant the most to me was the overnight stay. Many places send dogs home the same day, but knowing he was still coming off anesthesia and being closely monitored gave me such peace of mind. Unfortunately a nasty stomach bug ran through both of my cats and I went to Blue Pearl twice in one day. The staff at both visits were helpful, friendly, and supportive. They also encouraged me to call back with any concerns and when I did call back, they were able to advise on what to do next. My girls are feeling a lot better today. I was impressed with the cleanliness and calm of Blue Pearl. The staff was very friendly and helpful and my dog and I were given a private room with water and blankets for her so we could wait more comfortably. Wendy the vet tech was especially helpful and had such a warm demeanor. My dog loved her. The 5 hour wait time to be seen and discharged was longer than I expected, though. They were short-staffed with only one vet instead of the regular two for the day shift and there were a few crucial patients who were seen ahead of us, so this wait was understandable if not ideal.

Our Bernese Mountain Dog Bruski was so well taken care of at BluePearl. We didn’t know what was causing his symptoms, and the team patiently and clearly explained the steps we could take to rule out “big scaries”. Turns out, he had a small toy in his stomach and had to stay overnight for an endoscopy. The receptionists took our calls for updates with kindness and understanding. Bruski just got home and we can tell he was treated with so much love. We want to give a huge thank you to the nurse staff who played and cuddled with him, checking on him all night, our intake Vet Dr Souther and Dr Foley. Dr Souther had the most amazing bedside manner for concerned puppy parents, calming our nerves that very first night we came in. And discharge Vet Dr Sowy who helped Bruski through his procedure

Once again, Blue Pearl has saved the day. My sweet boy was very sick and they handled him with love, kindness and patience. Each person I dealt with was compassionate and empathetic. You are treated like family from the minute to cross the threshold.
