i now have 2 dogs from blue moon, who i both love. we got our first one in 2016 and our second one in 2020. Dee, the owner, is absolutely amazing and always makes sure the home is right for the dog and the dog is right for the home, which sadly not all shelters do. she cares for the dogs really well and makes sure they have everything they need. all of the many people i know who have adopted from here love Blue Moon and their pets. I highly recommend donating or volunteering so that Blue Moon can continue to help many dogs!

I just adopted a handsome 7 month old lab mix from blue moon and they where so helpful throughout the whole process! Dee set me up with my new companion with in a week! Dee was so communicative and helped me with any questions I had. Kate came and did a home visit and was super helpful and so polite! He’s just settling into his new home and is doing great! I highly recommend blue moon! Thanks again guys!!!

Filled out inquiries and applications for 2 beautiful beagles. Waited over 2 weeks only for the staff to ruin my family vacation to make me feel guilty for going knowing the 2 beagles were coming from other shelter. Our vacation was a celebration of life for my Sister. Home visit came and I was treated so disrespectfully because my home wasn’t a palace. My husband and grown sons have raised from rescues 2 blue tick beagles over the course of 25 years. Gave them both the best home and lives! My husband is a USMC veteran and I am a cancer survivor. We are absolutely devastated that we were denied after a 20 minute virual home visit! Shame on Blue Moon Meadow Rescue!!!!

I had the best experience adopting from Blue Moon Meadows. Dee and her husband were extremely kind and helpful throughout the adoption process. They answered all my questions and made sure I had everything I needed. The work they are doing is incredible. These pups wouldn’t be where they are today if it weren’t for their compassion and dedication.

We adopted our dog 6 years ago from BMM, and we love him to pieces. Shortly after adopting him, we realized he had serious health issues. I contacted BMM regarding my concerns and was told we could return him. No way would we do that! We have spent well over $10,000 on vet bills. Would recommend a different rescue group who sells healthy dogs. My second comment is regarding a friend who was told last week to come see a dog that he was interested in adopting. He was lead to believe it was a done deal. He was to bring the $250 and an in home visit wouldn’t be necessary because he was going to the foster mother’s home to see the dog . A few hours later he got a call that someone who had previously adopted a dog from BMM would be taking the dog. He was heartbroken as was his wife. Please think
