Bluegrass Vet Clinic

I'm so thankful for this clinic and their commitment to provide affordable care. Because of their low cost spray and neuter clinic we have been able to adopt 5 cats and 2 stray dogs, that we wouldn't have been able to afford to have fixed and vaccinated,and prevent more unwanted litters. I can't say enough good about them. I'm so thankful that they are doing this kind work. Wonderful staff too! We've been using them for over 3 years and will continue as long as they are in operation.

The vet shows the compassion one would expect for your pets. This place has the small town quality you expect from a small town. Without the big vet franchise price. It's kind of nice to go to a vet where he knows your pets name and treats him like family. Honestly this is the first Google review I've given a vet. And I hope to bring George here as long as he's still sniffing feet and willing to give cuddles.

This story is from June 23, 2022 but I just now decided people should hear about my experience because I am traumatized. The morning of 6/23/2022 I dropped my dog (Pip) off to get spayed at this clinic. An hour later they told me it was time for pickup. When I got there, Pip was still unconscious from the anesthesia which should’ve been my first red flag but this was my first time ever taking a pet to get fixed. We drive 40 minutes back to my apartment in Lexington and she was still knocked out. I laid her on towel on top of her doggy bed hoping she’d wake up shortly. About two hours went by and she still wasn’t waking up (I was checking on her every 10-15 minutes). Eventually I heard Pip begin to howl in pain. Amazing oasis for furbabies! I care for a stray colony of cats and became desperate for affordable vet care to help them all. Bluegrass Vet Clinic is the ONLY place that gave me prices where I could get them all help. Grateful for Rene, Dr. Pack, and all of the volunteers! I don’t know what I’d do without them. Thank you!

Just want to thank the staff at bluegrass vet clinic. It's really sad that vets try to take advantage of ppl who love their pets. My gf dog went into labor around 7pm we took her to Jefferson Veterinary clinic which told us to give them $600 for various test and xray to see how many she had so they come back after only 5 or 10 mons with x-rays showing that the puppies were to big for her to have naturally so they wanted to c section them for an amount that I'm still trying to wrap my head around smh they told us they couldn't do nothing for us unless we gave them another $4000 to $6000 tp do surgery or we could just take her jome amd see what happens anyway they kept our money after lying to us and not giving my suffering pregnant dog who whinging amd yelping because she is in pain somethi
