I had to put down my dog of 17- almost 18 years old. They did not judge me for the sobs and screams I caused, and although I know people shouldn’t make a scene, I have had this dog since I was 5. They gave me time. Patience. Although expensive, it was worth every single penny. My dog was not a “good dog.” He was “the best dog.” He made my life what it was. And now, 17 years after I got him, I think he knew it was time. His name was mischief. They not only sent me a very sweet email, but I’m to receive his ashes soon. My heart is broken, and I don’t want sympathy for it. But I do want you to know- they handled this more perfectly than any other vet I’ve went to. They treated him with care. Let me stay with him. And I was there for the beginning… and the end. This dog meant EVERYTHING to me.

Maggie’s first dental clean& extraction. She came out as expected- a little groggy, but great the next morning. Staff helpful, Procedure successful, Expectations were met. Have had my dogs cares for by BVVA for many years and expect to continue with their service.

Blue Ridge veterinarians and staff are amazing. When my dog was suddenly unable to see, stand or walk I took her to their after hours emergency care. They quickly diagnosed her infection and prescribed the medication she needed to quickly recover. I thought I was loosing the best friend I’ve ever had. But Blue Ridge saved her. She’s healthy and happy, just like a puppy again.

Outstanding experience having our 6-mo-old puppy neutered. We were given a very reasonable price quote detailing each item. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. Our pup came home in a surgery suit—so much better than the cones. All of our questions were happily answered throughout. They reached out to check on our pup the following day. Highly recommend!

Wow, just wow. We love Blue Ridge! First of all, back in September we showed up on their doorstep on a Saturday night with our 19 year old cat who was in distress-- we knew it was the end. Despite being slammed (and us not being Blue Ridge clients), they said, 'of course'. And they gently helped us send our precious boy over the rainbow bridge. Cut this last weekend and our 17 year old girl kitty was suffering with what turned out to be a very bad UTI. We took her in Sunday, they got us in, and took great care of her. At every turn, the receptionist, the tech and the vets all said, "feel free to call anytime for an update'. Not only are they compassionate, they are fair and provide such respectful and attentive service. I can proudly say that we are NOW Blue Ridge clients. Thank you, Blue
