Unorganized and unprofessional. We bring our two dogs here and every time we go, it takes forever to even be acknowledged by the front desk staff (my husband is there now with our dog for 45 mins and still waiting to check in…30 mins past our appointment). They also mix up our dogs records frequently and I have to ensure that each dog gets what they need. While they got us in quickly (we’re new to the area) I’m guessing it’s only because the other vets that were recommended to us were already full. The only reason we aren’t switching is because it takes 6 months+ to get in somewhere else (and we’re moving again soon- military family). The vets are nice but it truly isn’t worth the headache.
A huge thank you to Dr. Blake and his staff! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Two weeks before my move to the Mid-coast, my former vet recommended dental surgery for my cat, Emma Mae, after her yearly checkup. I was anxious about finding a trustworthy vet and was relieved to find Dr. Blake and his staff. Emma Mae is usually aggressive at vet visits, but Dr. Blake’s calm and kind approach allowed her to tolerate the exam better than with other vets. He even responded to my questions after hours, easing my anxiety before her next visit. Though Emma Mae didn’t need dental surgery after further testing, Dr. Blake took the time to thoroughly explain the results and his recommendations. I’ve seen him interact with other pet owners with the same care, patience, and understanding. Dr. B
We needed emergency vet services while traveling and this was the only vet after calling about 7 of them, that was open and able to help squeeze us in. You can see the relief on my pups face afterwards (especially when we left with a tennis ball), and everyone that we interacted with was incredibly helpful, kind, and put my mind at ease. Cricket and I can't thank you enough!!
I had called to get a Quote on a spay for one of my female dogs. I was told the procedure would be between 500 and 700 dollars. And to book the appointment I had to put a $200 deposit down. I explained my female may have gotten with my male dog. The very day I had called, so it was very important to do this quickly. They said that's not a problem, and they got me in within a 2 week time period Everything went well the day of surgery When I picked her up, the bill came to a little over $800 with the $200 deposit already laid down. That brings it to a $1000. That is a big difference. From $500 To $700. And there was nothing I could do. They had my dog pretty much holding it at ransom until I paid. Blake veterinarian used to be my go to veterinarian for all of my pet needs. Never again. I won
Dr. Blake is THE best! He has come to our rescue with our dogs more than once. Very accommodating and his experience and knowledge are immeasurable.
