My husband and I have been working with Blackwood Canine since our Weimaraner Drake was just 8 months old. We took him there for boarding and training. They did an amazing job keeping us in the loop with weekly updates, sending us pictures and videos of his progress. When it was time for him to come home, we had several one-on-one classes to go over training for the human. Fast forward 3 years, and I needed a refresher course, not for my dog! My wife and I adopted a supposed 'pitbull mix' from our humane society and quickly realized through testing that she is actually a giant mastiff with mostly 'Ovcharka' independence (look up this breed to see our challenges) and Cane Corso size mixed in. We entered our K9 family members Deeco & Nixie, our two year old littermate BerneDoodles into The program for 8 weeks as “board & train” with 5 follow up sessions.
