We traveled from Rapid City to Edgemont to get some on leash training for 6 weeks for our Sharpei. We knew she would be challenging especially since she is so older dog we rescued. Tim did a great job explaining training techniques and also helped me understand my dog more, and what she could be thinking, as to why she reacts or does some of the things she does. The training indoor facility is awesome but the outdoor area and obstacles were a lot of fun and is such a nice area. Tim is very knowledgeable and helpful but my favorite part was his excitement for our dog when we got her to a certain command she didn’t do the week before 😃 it was a lot of fun and looking forward to more training for Ivy !

Black Hills K9 and Trainer Tim are amazing! We brought our family dog, Muffin, for a 6 week course and it’s made all the difference. Before training, we didn’t understand our working breed dog and how to get her to listen to us. Leash walks were frustrating due to pulling/dragging us down the road. Every leash we had purchased was chewed apart within days. I had given up on family vacations with the dog because nothing seemed to work. Tim helped me find the right leash, collar, and treats to motivate our dog. He helped me recognize when my dog was engaging with me or displaying dominant behaviors. My French bulldog, Walter, and I had a great time at Black Hills K9! We took the on leash obedience class. Walter learned so much, as did I. We are from western NE, around 55 miles, and it is well worth the time to travel to Tim's facility. The indoor training floor was great as well as the obstacle course. I would highly recommend Black Hills K9. I plan on taking more classes in the future with Tim.

Working with Black Hills K9 has literally changed my life. I brought a very reactive Pitbull to Tim and after several weeks of lessons I am finally able to communicate with my dog which has transformed our relationship.
