Big Moose Grooming

Today, I took my beloved dog Woody to Big Moose Grooming, and the experience from start to finish truly warmed my heart and left me deeply moved. Even though there was heavy snowfall yesterday, Owner Joy reached out to check on Woody and me beforehand. She kindly asked if we would be able to make our 10 a.m. appointment safely, and even offered to reschedule at a convenient time if the weather made it difficult to come. That small gesture already showed her genuine care, and I felt a strong sense of trust even before we arrived. When we arrived at the scheduled time, Joy welcomed us with a bright and warm smile. Would NEVER go here again. I don’t understand how someone can shave all the hair off your double coated dog without permission or consent. Not sure how this place is still in business / have a license to operate. As you could see before and after photos. They had my more detailed review removed so just wanted to post this again!

Buddy got an amazing bath with Big Moose. The owner is very nice and always squeezes me in schedule even if last minute. Buddy was very happy after. I like how at the end they give a little recap of how he did. And of course Buddy loves the bandana he gets at the end!

My puppy is my everything. I have had her groomed before from other groomers and I loved their work. Sadly her groomer went on Maternity leave. I found Big moose Groomer on google with a rating of 4.8 star. I thought I was going to get an amazing groomer for my puppy and I was going to have my puppy end up gorgeous. I went and dropped her off. I told the groomer that I wanted them to lower hair from her face, cut 1 inch from her torso and her regular bath, brush, nail clipping and teeth brushing. When they called me to pick her up, omg. I almost fainted. What the hell dis they do to her??? My puppy was shaved fully. I asked why, they said because she is knotted and they had to shave her. Best local groomer, plenty nearby options, but Joy runs a friendly, professional business with reasonable pricing. She and her staff been great with all 3 of my rescues. And although I no longer live locally, she’s very understanding/accommodating with tight scheduling and I still bring my dogs to her business because I trust her place with my fur kids.
