Best Friends Animal Hospital and Urgent Care Center

On 12/14/25 We took St. Bernard in for bloat, they immediately took him back and started x-rays, medications and a trochar to relieve the pressure. They informed us of our options and that emergency surgery would be the only way to correct this. Because of his age to be considered geriatric and he has heart issues the outcome was very guarded. I respected that they were very up front about the situation and the possible outcome. Dr Peters explained what the surgery would involve and about how long it would take. Everything went well and the explanation of aftercare was just as thorough with a laundry list of medication times, diet and expected recovery time. I cannot say enough nice things about Best Friends. Doctors and staff are very professional and knowledgeable. We got direct answers and accurate information regarding our pup. Service was fast given how much volume in patients they see. Very happy with our experience even tho we had to put pup down they were kind and understanding and we will move all our vet needs to Best Friends.

Our experience with Best Friends was amazing. They would absolutely be my #1 recommendation when in need of urgent vet care. They are so, so kind and the cherry on top is their prices are more reasonable than one of the other commonly used urgent care vets in town. I hope we won’t be back with another emergency but if we did we’d be happy to use them again!

My husband and I are forever grateful for the team here. They were able to get our dog Rosco in the next day for scans. Very accommodating to the fact that we had a 5 hour drive to get there. The care and compassion shown for our fur baby was top notch! We couldn’t have asked for better care and follow up. The Dr’s called as soon as tests came back and called the next for a follow up on how he was doing and our trip back home. We would make this trip in a heartbeat if we had to do it again.

My experience was not ideal. We had an emergency but waited over an hour for the doctor to actually come in the room. They were not busy either. Did tests and sent us home with no information. I would recom moore ln vet... We do not need the referral, another vet in town knew the problem -thanks
