Our sweet ferret Harley became sick. It is not easy to find a location that will urgently see exotics. Dr. Mathias arranged his schedule to get us in. He was thorough and met her every need. He explained everything, was very clear on treatment options as well as possible causes during diagnosis. Not only did he take excellent care of our fur baby, he was very compassionate, and reassuring to her owner (my 15 year old son) and myself. He put us at ease and truly made us feel comforted in a scary situation. We are truly grateful to know there is someone that knows how to address our needs as ferret owners and not once made us feel like a bother with all the follow up questions we had to ensure we handled things properly. Our Mastiff puppy adopted a stray cat and being primarily dog people, we weren't really familiar with cats. The entire staff was super helpful and very knowledgeable and worked with us on how best to care for this now not so stray, new member of the family! And a special shout out for not judging us for having her over 2 lb overweight from eating too much puppy Chow! We have never had a bad experience here and cannot recommend this practice highly enough! We love each and every staff member and they clearly care about all of their clients and are passionate about their work!
