In May, I brought my 2.5-year-old dog to Berkshire Veterinary Hospital. He was my world. He was diagnosed with epilepsy and given medication. Despite treatment, he continued to have seizures. When I called the clinic about this, they simply switched his medication without proper follow-up or care. Months later, in October, my dog suffered a horrific seizure and was rushed to the emergency vet. That is when I was told the truth: the dosage of medication Berkshire Veterinary Hospital had prescribed was far too low for my dog’s size and condition. Because of this, his epilepsy was not properly controlled, leading to a massive seizure, severe brain damage, and ultimately the loss of my beloved dog. This loss was preventable. My senior dog has been a patient of Dr. Guzy’s for eleven years, and my other dog has been going for the past three. Every experience has been a pleasant one, even for the not so pleasant reasonings. I leave every appointment being informed of the visit and what to expect going forward. When I call to make an unexpected appointment, they always seem to make the time to fit them in. However, when they feel I can save myself the vet visit and the additional to me fees, they let me know that as well. I feel they’re very fairly priced for the services they provide. And I truly appreciate the relationship that’s developed over the past decade between my dogs and Dr. Guzy and his staff.

Dr Guzy and his team are wonderful - always friendly, accommodating and efficient. Dr Guzy is skilled, straightforward and funny- he hones right in on the issue and never pushes unnecessary tests or procedures. They all take wonderful care of my pug Mabel…I would never trust her with anyone else. Thank you! 🙏🏻😄

Dr Guzy and his staff are the best. I have been through 3 other vets which I never could trust. Always felt rushed, prices were always crazy and was told to go to the ER vet many times during working hours. That’s unacceptable to me. Dr Guzy is the most compassionate vet and you never feel rushed when your animal is in front of him. He will answer any questions you have! He personally has given me a call to address concerns from emails, test results, etc. I have had a couple of emergencies with my pups and the office has always told me to come right one in. This place is a true gem. Wouldn’t go anywhere else and I live 40 minutes away. My pups are in good care.
