Berkley Animal Hospital

I rescued at kitten from under a car yesterday, and took her to Berkley for eval and any treatment needed. The doctor on duty at the time is highly allergic to cats. But, the staff did an initial evaluation on the kitten. They then referred me to Hartrick Vet in Royal Oak. I can't thank the staff here enough for their help and guidance they provided me in getting the care this kitten needed.

We recently had to put down our beloved cat of 17 years due to Cancer. Prior to making that decision the doctors and all the staff at this clinic were amazingly attentive. The desk staff were personable and helpful at every stage and our doctor was absolutely great. It was a very difficult decision and a very sad day. We later received a sympathy card from the staff with personal messages written expressing their sympathy and condolences. I cannot thank them all enough for the help and support we received. This Veterinary hospital is truly unique in the depth of care they provide.

It is hard to find veterinarians that are knowledgeable about exotic pets and it was such a relief to find one that you can count on so close to home. I have brought my rabbits to Berkley for several years and I know they have received thorough and thoughtful care. The veterinarians are experienced and caring and will be up front and honest with you. The environment is comfortable with a small-town practice feel, and the staff has always been helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Please give your pets good care and a good life. They deserve it.

I brought my dog in today, september 26th, 2027, for a lower GI issue. The staff was very friendly, seemed extremely competent, and even shared information about continuing education that I wasn’t aware of. They did a fair job treating her overall. They were unable to complete an x ray , and they stopped administering fluids when she was too stressed out.They ran a number of tests and prescribed probiotics. The total cost was about $600. The biggest downside was the wait time—three hours from check-in to leaving, even though another emergency pet was seen and completed in about an hour and a half during my visit. Hands down the best vet we’ve ever had! The staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating for each of our pets specific needs. (We have a very nervous and reactive dog, and 2 bunnies who are nervous by nature.) The staff are sensitive to each individual animal and they do what’s best for them. They even have a separate, private waiting room for scared or special needs pets. We went to many vets that were just okay (some terrible) before finding Berkley and I’m so happy we did! So are our pets!
