Barks & Wildlife Retreat

This is an amazing place! Worth the drive if you are looking for a loving place for your fur baby. Felt comfortable leaving our puppy in this safe space. Needed nails trimmed and looking to use for future boarding services when we travel internationally. Stayed for day care and had fun play (pictures sent) before her grooming appointment. Smelled so good in Jeep on the way home! Great location (in the country) good vibes, and clean facility. Dana is wonderful delivering awesome customer service (communication with me) and love for our puppy! Pictures allow you to see your animal playing and socializing. Recommend anyone who is looking for grooming or daycare to consider Barks & Wildlife Retreat in Longville, La. Will post review for boarding in future once we utilize this service.

We love Barks and Wildlife in Longville. LA. Always treat our dog like if she was as their own. Anytime I need boarding, even last minute they always have a spot for her. She always make new friends every time she goes there. Something I like is they have the big dogs separate from the small ones. We definitely recommend it to anyone who ask for it. this place is the best boarding facility ever! the staff is very friendly and communicative. my German Shepard can be a nervous wreck when i’m gone but they did a great job distracting him with fetch everyday and enjoying the splash pad! they sent me tons of photos throughout his stay! if i had any questions or concerns it was easy to text them and get answers within minutes. we will definitely be booking again with them.

Love this place and so attentive. Joey loves playing with the staff and other dogs!! I also love the pictures that are sent and get excited when he and my girls are on the facebook page. I feel like he is very loved and cared for while I am away!’❤️Joey loved playing fetch with the other dogs and also meeting his new friend “Freddy” My sweet Gracie had a lump on her neck that they saw. They called me and gave me updates until I returned and could take her to the vet. I am very blessed that they cared enough and went to great lengths to keep an eye on her. It gave me a great peace of mind!! I think Gracie enjoyed wandering around the beautiful large grassy area and exploring. She is our “Where’s Waldo” pup. Love this place and their caretakers! They make me feel so welcomed when we show up, they know my dog by name... and I always feel like he's in great hands while we are away! I also appreciate their flexibility! This recent stay, I called last minute to see if they could keep him overnight, and as usual, it was no problem! ❤️ thank you!! Bonus 🥳 Just as we were driving up to Dallas, they sent pix of our pup, playing with other dogs !
