Barker Retreat

I have been using Barker Retreat for 4 years and the services have always been excellent. Robert takes very good care of the pups, which includes picking them up and taking them home, feeding, exercise and grooming. I highly recommend Barker Retreat for all of your pups needs. Robert keeps my pup Azizi clean, will fed and tired from all the play time. I wouldn't use anyone else's service.

Robert to the rescue! This review is long overdue, as Barker Retreat helped watch my dog Remy during the summer. I got a full walk through on what and how Robert would do with both my dog and the group as a whole. This made for some very useful peace of mind before my trip. Robert also was explaining to his family members the how's and why's of what Remy was doing during the walk through, which both showed me he knew what he was doing and reinforced the family business model. I was in the middle of nowhere and got updates and photos from Robert. When I got back home, Robert stayed in constant contact as we timed getting me to pick up Remy(The airlines usually screw me over on my way home, I opted out of Robert's drop-off service). Bella our dog struggles with trusting others. She absolutely loves and trusts Robert from day one. He has a gift with connecting and understanding her. He takes great care her. We can tell she misses him when she’s back home. I would and have highly recommended him.

Ghost loves it here! He’s always excited to go see all his pals and have a blast! He gets treated well & gets in a lot of exercise - he comes homes so tired after having fun! Boarding has been great for him we never have any worries.

Rob is just great with my dog Tweed. Tweed is a rescue and a senior dog. He is extremely fearful of anything new: new places, new people, new dogs. It was hard to find a boarding situation that would suit Tweed, as most of the dog boarders around me tend to focus on well socialized dogs that want to play together. Rob is very understanding of my dog's needs, and kept him in a quiet place with not too much interaction so Tweed would feel as safe as possible.
