Bark Run Play dog boarding and daycare

Great place, great people, and great experience. Dogs are always excited when we tell them we are going. Updated 8/31/2025: Just picked the girls up from Barkrunplay and another fantastic boarding. That is 2 multi night boardings in the last 2 weeks. Great price and service all the way around.

Avoid if your dog is not “purebred.” This establishment refused to consider my very well behaved pit mix. She has a very low amount of pit in her, and zero aggression. The mentality and values of this place conflict with mine, and I would encourage most people with canine friends to steer clear. I found the attitude of the phone person I spoke with to be rude as well.

I took my 1.5 year old husky/German shepherd here for a overnight . Everything from the meet and great, to the drop off and pickup was extraordinary. My dog was able to run and play with other dogs and not be cooped up in a kennel all day. It was great to have the peace of mind knowing our dog was in good hands . This is the only place we will board our dog moving forward .

I left my 2 dogs here (Ellie and Miss Doggy Parton) while I went away for 8 days and cannot recommend it enough! We looked at places in Portland, but did not feel comfortable leaving them at the boarding places we checked out due to lack of comfort on not only our end but our dogs. Finding Bark Run Play seriously left us feeling so comforted knowing our dogs were in good hands! Kerry & Brian are not only kind, but amazing with dogs. One of our dogs is stand off-ish with people and was living on them when we returned back. They even sent us cute photos with a quick update while we were away. The dogs aren’t locked up in crates or stuck in a building all day - they get to run around outside and have a doggy vacation while you’re on yours. We are super grateful we found this place, can’t stop

Bark Run Play is the best dog care facility that you could ever hope for! If you read any reviews at all please read this one if you are searching for a place to take the best care of your animal while you’re away. They are professional, reliable, trustworthy & they have the cleanest facilities at all times, they always send me pictures and updates throughout my trips to let me know that my dog is loving his home away from home but most importantly they truly love my dog. Look no further, you will not be disappointed & your dog will be forever thankful to you for leaving him or her in their care!
