Banfield Pet Hospital

I will never step foot at the Deptford Banfield again, they don’t even deserve one star. This was the 3rd horrible experience with Dr. Samantha Dence. I figured maybe she had a bad day the first, second time, boy was I wrong. She is always so cocky and rude. This last experience in a nutshell…. I am well aware my cat can be a “you know what” when he is there, therefore I give him gabapentin to calm him before taking him. He was still not happy after the drug this time. I get a call saying such and they couldn’t do anything that day , ok I get it. The conversation after that statement is when her personality and unprofessionalism comes out. Dr. Dence then proceeds to tell me that if an animal bites one of them it needs to be reported if it’s “bad enough” whatever that means, ok I get

In December, we had to put down our sweet, loving dog Kira after 12 years. Banfield staff was kind and accommodating, as she had lost her ability to walk, they carted her in through the back and made sure there was a blanket set down for her. My baby girl enjoyed a bowl of treats before she went off to the Rainbow Bridge. The nurses and doctor who helped her transition were so friendly, as well as compassionate. I had her cremated, and her ashes and paw print were returned to me beautifully, including a very kind condolences card signed by the Banfield staff, as well as a bonus nose print, which was so kind of them to do. To Banfield staff, thank you so much. You are very kind and loving people, and I'm glad we trusted you with our Kira's final moments. 💗

The vet and team here are great! My dog has anxiety, and they are very caring and accommodating to her issues. I’m able to get my dog seen quickly, and the care and attention to her health are excellent.

Terrible location. They have no intent on properly checking your animal. Poor x-ray job has to take my dog to actual doctors with real world experience end up spending half on x-rays and they found the issue and my baby will being now properly treated.

I’m not sure why I was sent a link for a survey as I haven’t subjected my animals to this lack of care in several years. I whole heartedly believe that if the negligent vets in this facility had actually listened and addressed my concerns (instead of continuing to focus on my dog being stressed in that environment) that his cancer could have actually been caught and potentially treated. I also had a cat that grew I’ll and instead of running tests in him they told ME it was due to him having a broken tooth and he must have not been eating enough… even though I stressed to them that his tooth and eating habits were NOT a concern. I lost them within months of each other.
