We stayed with Banfield for 11+ years for my dog's care, but it has consistently gone downhill starting around the year that they moved locations (out of Petco). Now, theyre chronically understaffed and I'm treated as a HUGE inconvenience because I prefer in-room appointments and having face to face conversations with a vet. They never have same-day appointments available for sick visits, and if they do, its a drop-off situation. In fact, they default to drop-off as the only appointment type available, for anything. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not comfortable knowing my elderly arthritic dog is sitting in a kennel for up to 7 hours so that the vet can "see them in between scheduled surgeries." How does that instill confidence that the exam will be of quality and the proper time will be ta
I pay for a plan that’s supposed to cover routine visits, exams, and unexpected illness etc, but my experience at the Plymouth location has been extremely disappointing. This plan is supposed to help pet owners avoid high costs, but every visit I still ended up paying a large bill, often only finding out at pick up. I was never contacted beforehand about out of pocket expenses. I’ve had three occasions where my pet was sick, and they couldn’t see him for two weeks, directing me to urgent care. While I understand schedules can be busy, what’s the point of paying for a plan if you still have to go elsewhere and pay out of pocket? The staff were consistently rude, and I never felt welcomed. On top of that, there are no in room appointments, which is extremely inconvenient for someone who wor
Scheduled an appointment for my dog, it was rescheduled. They said no provider, rescheduled that appointment, rescheduled again, provider had an accident. Rescheduled a second time for a Wednesday at 4:45. Drove half an hour, one way, arrived 20 minutes before scheduled appointment, to find office locked and closed. No sign to indicate why closed early, no phone call to explain. I left a voicemail and call back number. I don't recommend this facility for pet care. Unreliable, and inconsiderate.
We live out of state and have a Banfield at home so it's convenient. Problem is they don't seem to have the same vets year over year. Not at all happy with what I was told in regards to medications and our travel situation. Decided to go elsewhere and within the hour I was locked out of my pets medical records. So is it about what is best for the animal what's most profitable? That's rhetorical. Go to a real vets office. You will be better off. This feels like a car dealership.
I would not recommend this veterinary practice based on my recent experience. My dog began experiencing stress-induced seizures and required daily seizure medication. When seeking care, I was informed that if she were to have a seizure while in the office, the practice would not be able to complete her appointment, including basic examination, lab work, or vaccinations. However, I was also told that seizure medication could not be prescribed without first completing lab work. This placed me in an impossible situation, as her condition makes in-office seizures likely, yet the practice refused to proceed with the very steps required to provide treatment. As a result, my dog was denied necessary medical care during a critical time. Additionally, when I canceled her care plan due to the ref
