In January of this year, I brought my dog in for a scheduled spay surgery. The morning of the procedure, I was told they could not perform it due to “abnormal” ALT/SGPT levels. They also told me her previous bloodwork had been normal, but after reviewing past records, I discovered this was not true, her levels had always been noted as elevated. Despite acting perfectly healthy, I was advised to purchase liver medication, which did nothing to improve her levels. They then pushed for several expensive medical tests, dismissing my concerns about environmental factors or the possibility that her being a very active puppy might play a role. Fast forward to now: I took her to my private hometown vet, and her levels came back perfectly within normal range. She is now scheduled for a spay with a d

Dr. hatch is a god send. He is the best vet I've ever been to after 10 years going to various vets with my pup (including back bay vet where I had a terrible experience). He CARES. He treats you and your pet with concern, respect and attention. The office is good about communication too, always following up on appointments and provide me helpful service with getting peaches prescription filled. I also had a teeth cleaning with Dr. Cheryl E Cheung here for my senior pup who has heart disease and I felt they were very caring and attentive to her needs. Also care is priced reasonably compared to back bay vet.

Very disappointing since they were bought out by Banfield. Very obviously being told to push unnecessary services by Banfield. Brought my dog in because he was limping and was told the vet couldn’t get a good look at his paw because he was pulling away so she recommends a $1,300 sedated X-ray to rule out a fracture. Asked her how confident she was it was a fracture before I pay that much and she couldn’t stand behind her diagnosis, just that it could be a fracture so we should X-ray to see. Brought him to a different vet who was able to look at his paw with me in the room and show me a crack in his nail exposing the quick. $400 for Banfield to give me a maybe answer and recommend a $1,300 X-ray; $100 for the other vet to give me an answer and show me the problem. Brought him in a few mont

TAKE YOUR PUPPY ANYWHERE ELSE. I would give zero stars if I could. We were never told we couldn’t cancel the “Optimum Wellness Plan.” Not once by three different employees while we were taking him for his introductory appointments. We spent far too much money to be told “we couldn’t be seen” multiple times and to be told to go elsewhere for complications surrounding the neutering their team performed. The worst part is that no one took any accountability for it. We brought our dog in twice after his procedure to be looked at for complications surrounding the neutering and were told his side effects of not being able to urinate properly and having smelly discharge were “normal” and would go away on their own. Or we could spend more money to run blood tests or further procedures that were

Absolutly the worst Banfield I have contact to. I was trying to schedule a dental appoinment they found an available time for me then they told me to wait while they get everything ready. After 30 minutes phone call they told me that they dont wanna schedule me the appoinment because apparently I missed an appoinment before and they dont wanna risk it. Btw we pay the wellness plus plan for my 3 dogs. I think this is a really bad customer mistreatment especially a customer that pay every month for their most expensive plan.
