We recently finished our training sessions and although we are first time reviewers we had to just had to share our thoughts on how wonderful Karina is to work with. First off, we’ve officially retired from dragging our human down the street every time a leaf blows by. (We still keep an eye on them, just in case.) Karina showed us how to walk nicely and actually enjoy the journey without turning it into a sprint. Our human seems relieved. She also taught us how to relax. Who knew chilling out on command could be so rewarding? And don’t even get us started on scent work. Turns out sniffing with purpose is an actual job! We’re basically detectives now. We researched a few trainers and didn’t quite agree with their methods and then found Karina! We ended up going with a 10 day board and train. So far we have been extremely pleased with the results! Karina helped teach our dog the basics and has been very communicative throughout the whole process. Would definitely recommend her. As it turns out, we had a family member use her as well and they have been very pleased with their dogs success also.

Dogs are amazing but they take lot’s of training! I am so grateful for Balance Together Dog Training for helping me to make it through the first year! My male Bernedoodle is 1 year old and such a gentleman on walks and respects boundaries in my yard even though there is a busy walking path behind it with people and dogs walking by all the time. He only barks to alert and listens to many commands wherever we go. He is so good in public places so I can easily bring him where dogs are allowed with no issues. My puppy and I have a trusting relationship and get to have lots of fun together because we both know what to expect of each other. I Can’t recommend this business enough. Karina has a natural presence with dogs and my little guy adores her!

If you are wondering “should I do the private trainer route?…” do it. Karina was wonderful to work with. My dog is generally well mannered and friendly. He knows a lot of commands and picks up on training routines. However, we have been struggling with his impulse control and mood stabilization-for example he gets very aroused/excited and has a hard time calming back down. I have read TONS of dog training and behavior recommendations online. Doing research yourself is fine and it has helped, but having Karina, and her insight, involved was a lifesaver. She read my dog’s individual signals and communications (and also showed me, so that I can read his behavior, in real time, more accurately as well) and helped us tailor some training strategies that are suited for his personality. Karina is a life saver. I have the sweetest snuggle dog that was aggressive towards strangers and dogs that walked past our home. My dog had anxiety out of fear. My baby stayed with Karina for a 21 day boot camp. It was hard for me to leave him and it was hard for him to adjust to being there. He had never been away from home before. I had a lot of reservations but this was the best decision I have ever made. My baby came home with controlled reactive behavior. Im not nervous about who might walk by when we go outside anymore. We have so much more freedom and can walk to public areas. She did such a great job, we’ve hired her to help train our second dog who is super excited and has a hard time calming down. I’m thankful we found her and I highly recommend her.
